St George State School P & C Community Markets

Browse the variety of market stalls and pick up some unique handmade gifts such as art, craft, jewellery, cakes, jams and relishes and more.

Venue: Apex Park, Balonne River | Entry: Free | Time: 8.00am onwards

Classic Car Display

A display of cars from another era for the car enthusiast, presented by the St George Classic Car Club.

Venue: In front of the Balonne Visitor Information Centre, Cnr The Terrace & Roe Street and Apex Park, Balonne River | Entry: Free | Time: 8.00am to 12.00 noon.

Dragon Boat Races

The fascinating Dragon Boat Races commence at 9.00am on the Balonne River.  If you'd like to enter one or more the races, individual nominations are $10.00 or a Team is $100.00 per boat.

Jazz, Boots & Blues

This renowned event is hosted by Riversands Vineyard, so come ready to jump and jive your decorated boots across the dance floor, or just sit back and sip on a cool wine, enjoy some great food and music by "Blind Lemon" Blues Band.

This year also marks 10 years of "Boots" where local boots are cast in pottery and filled with local port.  So decorate your boots, gather your friends and get set to dance the night away.

The event kicks off at 2.00pm with some cool jazz, follwed by a 'Jazz, Boots & Blues' welcome at 4.00pm.  Around 6.00pm the judging of the Best Boots Competition with Federal Member Barnarby Joyce will take place.  Then relax over some great food and wine while taking in the sounds of "Blind Lemon" until late.
